In June the media was awash with news of villages in Plateau State being attacked by suspected Fulani Herds men.
Our Plateau based volunteers reported heavy losses of human lives and properties in at least 3 local governments.
The attack rendered thousands of people homeless, living them to settle in IDP camps.
Our Board of Trustees mandated us to mobilize resources and intervene in the humanitarian crisis.
On August 14, 2018, the Team, led by Ukah Emele visited 4 IDP Camps in Plateau State – 2 Camps in Riyom, Ban and Hiepang.
Shonong is a Village in Riyom LGA, Plateau State – North Central Nigeria.
Located in the Northern part of Plateau state, Shonong is mainly inhabited by the Birom people who are on the access routes to Plateau from the East – sharing boundaries with Kaduna and Nasarawa State.
Shonong has been attacked severally by suspected Fulani Herdsmen. The people of Shonong have lost their homes and they live in fear.
In November, 2017 the Team, led by Omolara Adelusi visited Shonong to distribute relief items, carry out a free medical outreach and youth empowerment.

The event which held at Sheba Centre in Ikeja, Lagos State witnessed a massive turn out of people with different Eyesight challenges.

NHI FACILITATES THE ADMISSION OF PLATEAU YOUTHS INTO AN AGRICULTURAL INSTITUTE IN NIGERIA
Nehemiah Hope Initiative facilitated the admission process of 7 Youths of Riyom LGA, Plateau State, North Nentral Nigeria into the Leventis Foundation Agricultural School, Abaji, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Nigeria.
The Leventis Foundation is charitable company of the A.G Leventis Group dedicated to the training farmers in modern and sustainable agricultural practices and rational use of natural resources. Read more

NHI in collaboration with 1st Care Missions and Brand Eye Media carried out a Medical Outreach at Itele- Awori community in Ogun State, South West, Nigeria.
As part of its Lease of Life Program, NHI coordinated the distribution of drugs, diagnosis and counselling through highly competent group of Medical Professional Volunteers.
Over 300 people from the Itele- Awori community received medical attention – from diagnosis and drug administration to counselling on healthy eating habits. Read more
